Calton Hill is a peaceful place to come on any day and offers impressive, panoramic views of the city, including down the length of Princes street. It can be accessed from a staircase at Regent Road on the South side or Royal Terrace on the North side. Well worth a visit and particularly beautiful…

Great views, some interesting history, and even a fantastic restaurant, Calton Hill is well worth a visit. The access via Blenheim Place provides a slightly gentler climb to the top that the steps or the road.

One of Edinburgh's famous "7" hills Carlton Hill is right in the middle of the city and offers incredible views of Princes Street, Edinburgh Castle and beyond. It is very steep though it is possible to take a taxi to the top if you have any concerns about the many steep steps to the top. Your reward…
