Bike along Buffalo Bayou With miles of urban bike trails, it turns out that Houston is a great place to work up a sweat. One of the best spots in town for this is along Buffalo Bayou through Eleanor Tinsley Park. Ride the curvy trails over hills and old-fashioned bridges into downtown and back,…
buffalobayou.org/visit Buffalo Bayou Park is the 160-acre greenspace that lies just west of downtown Houston. Enhancement of the park was a collaboration of BBP, the Kinder Foundation, the City of Houston through Houston Parks & Recreation Department and Harris County Flood Control District.
Whether you’re walking, running or biking, this winding trail will take you along the bayou to the skate park, the dog park, along the bat bridge and into downtown depending on which direction you go along this 120+ acre park. Stop by The Dunlavy for breakfast or lunch along the way.
Always great to go for a walk/run around here, with killer views of the city. Many stops around the loop like the skatepark, the Waugh bridge bat colony, johnny steele dog park, and some trails to hike through.
