Hike down the hill to this historic manor right on the lake shore with spectacular views. Bring a picnic and your camera! A stroller with large wheels could make it down the trail without too much trouble.

Gorgeous views of the lake! It is about a mile hike down to the Vikingsholm. You can look online for times of tours. It is kind of a drive but definitely worth it, even just to drive around the lake.

Built as a summer home in 1929, this grand castle on Emerald Bay is considered one of the finest examples of Scandinavian architecture in California.

if you look up trails, south lake tahoe, ca on Bing Maps., There are many and it shows info and a star ratings for each trail. This one is short but very steep for those not used to hiking. It was tough for me but i did it. Ask the front desk for more info also. Sometimes our resort has hikes…
