Their Eastbourne centre is a wonderful location for water sports. Set right on the beach, you can enjoy immediate access to the open sea and the prevailing south westerly winds. And they’re right next to Princes Park, with its large, shallow lake that’s perfect for beginners, or when the weather’s a bit rough.

Activities include courses and tuition in sailing, windsurfing, kayaking, powerboating, raft building and stand-up paddleboarding. Located on the eastern end of the seafront towards the harbour, opposite Princes Park. www.buzzactive.org.uk They also have a base at Cuckmere Haven, on the coast road between Eastbourne and Seaford (15 mins by car/bus) where you can combine paddle sports with breathtaking views of the Seven Sisters Country Park and Seaford Head.
