Walk the beautiful grounds to appreciate seasonal foliage and flowers; perennial and rose gardens, the Gary Oak meadow and the vegetable garden that produces ingredients for the Tea Room.

Government House of British Columbia is the official residence of the Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia, as well as that in Victoria of the Canadian monarch, and has casually been described as "the Ceremonial Home of all British Columbians." It stands in the provincial capital on a 14.6 hectares estate at 1401 Rockland Avenue; while the equivalent building in many countries has a prominent, central place in the capital, the site of British Columbia's Government House is relatively unobtrusive within Victoria, giving it more the character of a private home". Open for lunch in the back garden in the summer.

Gorgeous gardens and a forested trail for strolling and jogging. Plus a fab view of the ocean.

Beautiful place to go for a walk. The gardens in the front are spectacular. There are benches behind the mansion where you can sit and look out onto the water. There is also a short hiking trail.

No need to spent $$$ to see wonderful formal gardens when the Queen's Viceroy in BC provides them for free
