Hidden gem with expansive beach and trails. Bring sun cover as there is no shade.

We love doing the Hobbit Trail at the Iverson Spit. Easy walking trails and great driftwood beach on Port Susan. Nice spot to hang out and have a picnic lunch.

We started hiking this trail when our kids were toddlers. The preserve consists of 330 acres of protected birding area; there is always something interesting for kids to observe and study.

This is a great beach for kids and adults to play in the water. You'll also enjoy the nice trails in the woods. The Hobbit Trail is a must to see along with lots of bird activity. Free and parking is good. About a 10 minute drive away.

This is our favorite neighborhood walk. Love the Hobbit trail and bird watching. Also good place for picnics on the beach.
