It’s exciting cycling along the canal here with my daughter on the front of my bike. There’s a skate park and two imaginative playgrounds, one for younger kids and one with big slides (put sand on to make them faster!). In summer try the splash pool, fishing, boating lake, gigs at the bandstand, and puppet shows. Make a day of it by starting with scrambled eggs or Sri Lankan breakfast of coconut pancakes with chutneys at the child-friendly Pavilion Cafe nearby, or buy picnic stuff from the shops on Lauriston Road and set up lunch as soon as the kids are hungry.

Victoria Park boarders Bethnal Green. As it’s the 3rd largest cultivated green space in London, and one of London’s best kept secrets, you should take time to wander round the lakes, Old English Garden and deer enclosure.
You can walk along the Regents Canal from our house all the way to Victoria Park and beyond!
Large park a short walk down the canal from the flat. Great for a walk, run or just to hang out when the weather is good.
Lovely large park in East London. Well maintained playgrounds with water play (in the summer) and great slides/ climbing spaces. Lovely path runs the whole way round the park so good for cycle/ scooter and running. Skate park is always busy. Also have a couple of good cafes at each end of the park.
Walk along the canal and you'll arrive at this beautiful park to chill, run or walk around in. A delicious cafe The Pavilion to grab a coffee and bite to eat.
