great for a walk at day and night: look for glow-worms, bats, weta, morepork, eel, ...

Hammond Park is a little hidden gem along the Waikato River with bats hiding in the eucalyptus trees, tree plantings in winter, weeding in summer, wetas hiding in cabbage trees, more porks, kererus, glowworms etc. so much to discover at day and night!
