Hands down my favorite restaurant in SF. Fantastic neighborhood (if I had $6mil I would live there). Have dinner at NOPA and go see your favorite band next door at the Independent. Divisadero is a great street to cruise and sightsee
Great for dinner or weekend brunch: NOPA. A favorite. It is crowded and hard to get a reservation, so book in advance, or have a drink while waiting for a set at the bar. Simple, natural cuisine and great mixed drinks. They serve dinner until 1 AM.
Lively restaurant with high-quality California ingredients and creative cocktails. Show up at 10 minutes to 5:00 to add your name to the walk-in list and score a 6:00 p.m. table.
For late-night dining in SF, it doesn't get much better than Nopa. Serves dinner until midnight (1 a.m. on Saturdays and Sundays). Great brunch on weekends too.

“Single origin coffees & fancy lattes by Four Barrel. Try their toast! They’ve got great pizza available on most evenings, too.”

Pizzería
“The oozy, buttery deep-dish pies are not a carbon copy of some Chicago creation by any stretch. With topping possibilities like artichokes and goat cheese, they’re a distinctly California creation — and a drop-dead delicious one at that. Note: the menu recently welcomed some healthy seeming things like a roasted kale appetizer and a broccolini topped deep dish pie, but don’t miss the classic — with sausage, mushrooms, and green bell pepper — and the spicy chicken wings. ”

Restaurante mexicano
“High-quality regional Mexican restaurant that serves dishes you won’t find at taquerias. Totopos con chili, carnitas, and mole are not to be missed.”

“TIP: go to the west side, it’s where the locals prefer. Much nicer than the painted ladies if you look closely at the architecture and flora. ”
