The inventive kind of Japanese-Western fusion they do at this sake and wine bar would probably surprise Japanese people. The owner is a master at producing fermented foods, and I especially like their gratin dishes and the wonderful kanzake, or warmed sake. Ask them about food pairings, and know that their menu has some good suggestions ready to go. The bar only holds around 25 people and fills up quickly, so either reserve ahead of time or go early. They open up at 5 pm and don’t close until midnight, except on Sundays when they open at 2 pm and close at 11 pm.
