Less than a mile away is the mouth of Slate Canyon. There's access to both hiking and biking trails with great views.

Both my wife and I love the trials here. It has two main routs that provide either a nice walking path along the side of the mountain, or a challenging hike up the canyon. It is also great for mountain biking.

Talk about convenience. This canyon is in our backyard, literally. If you are not a hiker or mountain biker all you have to do is drive up the hill and you will have amazing views of Utah Valley. We would definitely recommend getting there for sunset.
