The Canning Village Meat Market is a family owned meat store specializing in local products like beef, pork or chicken. The specialty includes smoked pepperoni, maple smoked bacon and large variety of their own fresh sausages.

Actually across the street: Big Wigs Diner. All Day Breakfast! Only open till 3 pm But also, the meat market is an excellent butcher shop!

Taking the short drive to Canning is definitely worth it when you want a great meat selection. Visit the Meat Market to get delicious burgers and sausages (hot jambalaya is our favourite) and more! Don’t forget to get a scoop of ice cream before you leave.

What's not to like here? Family-owned, and a real local favourite, this shop has been in business since the late 1800s, and has recently expanded. In addition to high quality meats, they offer breads, pastries, and a range of other local specialties. Expect excellent prices, old-fashioned good customer service and an incredible meal to throw on the barbeque.
