The best Irish pub in the world outside Ireland is... Healy Mac’s in Kuala Lumpur is named Irish Times ‘Best Irish Pub in the World (Outside Ireland)’ Healy Mac’s pub Liam emigrated from Belmullet, Co Mayo, as a teenager and has lived in the US, UK and Indonesia, before settling in Malaysia. Liam Healy attributes the pub’s win to one key factor: friendliness.

Currently the only Irish-owned pub in KL, this friendly place offers a great selection of mouth-watering pub food and a very typical Irish atmosphere to drench you in a pint or two. They play live sports on the big screen and nine flat screen tellies for those keen on catching up on the games. We are delighted that the staff were trained to be able to pull a pint of Guinness and Kilkenny as if its second nature. 3 minute drive, 15 minute walk from our unit.
