The Hastings Fishermen's Museum is a small independent museum dedicated to the fishing industry and maritime history of Hastings in East Sussex
It is free and actually pretty good (with a large fishing boat that you can climb on).
Celebrating the tough lives of generations of people whose job was a way of life. This institution captures the spirit and essence of the Old Town and the industry that was the backbone of Hastings for centuries and still plays a hugely important part.
Free (although donations are most welcome) museum about the local fishing industry.
Small and perfectly formed and informed museum about the local Fishermen. Real stories about real people from Hastings. Full of interesting information. I found it really heartwarming and enjoyed the real sense of pride that the town have for their fisherman.
