This is one of my absolute favorite locations in Topeka. As an avid mountain biker, these trails offer beginner friendly to advanced options, so there is something for everyone. Beyond biking this 244-acre estate offers several ponds for fishing, gardens and all trails are hiker friendly also. Always open to the public from 6:00 am to 11:00 pm.

This landmark and historical place is the Kansas Governor’s mansion. It was built in the year 1928 and given to the state in 1955, but it did not become the governor’s residence until 1962. Today it is the main attraction of a French architectural estate that oversees the Kansas River. The estate has several ponds, gardens as well as hiking trails.

Nice mansion and some very nice hiking trails that will lead to the Kansas River.

MacLennan Park is a 240-acre park with 8.75 miles of hiking/running/biking trails. Located on the site is Cedar Crest, a historic home currently used as the Kansas Governor's Mansion.
