In the life of regular Berliners, this was the most important crossing point between east and west Berlin. Unlike Check-Point Charlie, this is an authentic place with an excellent free museum.

This free museum is worth a visit. It shares stories of families being split and having to say goodbye to loved ones at this old East/West border station, now right in the middle of Berlin
