Farmers Market
“I’ve travelled a lot and have yet to see another cities farmers market that comes close to ours. HUGE, great deals, local produce surrounded by fun shops and restaurants. Also, Eastern Market is surrounded by colorful street murals. An absolute must especially if you’re in town on a Saturday. Magical and fun! ”

Garden Center
“Peaches & Greens sells food from several urban gardens located around it. It’s a rare market where you can buy produce from gardens in the neighborhood as well as unique food products made throughout Detroit. Going by this little market is a good way to learn about people growing and taking care of themselves in the city. You can also buy fish that were raised right next door at a place called the CDC Farm and Fishery. They have a whole operation with growing tilapia and basil together.”
