Take a drive to Springbrook National Park. Bring a packed lunch, 500m sightseeing platform or 6km hike through the forest to the bottom, where you will see the most amazing twin water falls.
This was actually the first national park we visited when we moved to the Gold Coast 6 years ago. You can do short 15-30 minute walks but also can choose some longer ones.
