15 minute climb to the top gives 360 degree views over New Plymouth, the mountain and up and down the coast. A must do while in the area. Wear shoes!

"It is a steep climb, 100Mt in 15 minutes, If you have bad knees give Paritutu Rock a miss. but the view for the top of Paritutu Rock is well worth the effort. The climb up is very rock and uneven, but there are chains for you to hold on to, do take a warm coat if the wind is blowing in from the west you will need it.Freewalks.NZ"
