In recent years, Amsterdam’s northern shoreline has undergone a massive cultural revival that has repurposed many of its industrial sites and shipping warehouses into clubs, restaurants and ateliers. NDSM-Werf was at the forefront of these rapid urban developments and contains several impressive cultural hotspots including Pllek Restaurant, Ijhallen market, and Noordlicht Café. A small passenger ferry regularly travels between the docklands and Centraal Station, allowing visitors to enjoy views across Amsterdam’s harbor before disembarking at NDSM.

Streetarts and warehouses with hidden art galleries, all at the water the IJ. Nice places to chill in tis area are Plekk and Noorderlicht, with in the weekends often live-music, dj's playing or playing movies outside
