Although very touristic its quite the experience if you are a meat lover! This market is located at the end of Ciudad Vieja and was built in an old train station. The theme of this market is Uruguayan Parilla (BBQ). Go here if you want an Anthony Bourdain (amazing food journalist) moment.

This is the most iconic market of the city. In the heart of the old city, you'll find the best local food restaurants and authentic crafts. Walk around the old city after or before a nice asado. Friday is a good day for this plan.

“The oldest theater in Uruguay and the entire western hemisphere. Located in the old town of Montevideo, near the Independence Square. Built according to the design of the Italian architect Carlo Zucchi in the neoclassical style and officially opened on August 25, 1856. The side wings of the building were completed in 1874 under the direction of the French architect Victor Rabu. The theater is named after the Spanish discoverer Juan Diaz de Solis. This is the history of the country.”

Flea Market
“This is one of the most amazing parks in the city, it's truly incredible how the Uruguayan culture values their public spaces and make the most of them. Make sure to visit on a day you have good weather, and sit by the Rambla with the locals at sunset. Here you will find statues, fountains, wandering walkways, a pond with boats to rent, cafes and plenty of space to sit on the grass in the sun. ”
