We had a wonderful time at Shawnigan Lake, staying in Todd's beautiful cottage! It was perfectly situated right on the lake, with a fantastic dock space perfect for swimming and other activities. We were close to the train trestle, a lovely walking/running trail, a restaurant with a picturesque lake view, and a corner store for quick purchases. Grocery stores were about 15-20 minute drive away. All in all it was an incredible place to vacation for an active family! Thank you so much Todd!

Amazing place! Clean, beautiful and right by the water. Kiran was very responsive to our messages and helped me out along the way. This place has an amazing fire pit and jacuzzi for those cold winter nights. Very easy access via ferry from vancouver. We can’t wait to come back! Thanks Kiran.

We had such a great stay at Marlisa’s lake house! Very spacious with beautiful panorama windows looking out onto the lake. I would recommend her place to anyone looking for a getaway!

We loved staying here. The house is great. The front porch, the side deck with grill and sun chairs and outdoor dining is great. The dock on the water is fabulous. Any specific questions or issues were addressed immediately. Its a really lovely spot. You can't do better on Shawnigan Lake!

Nice location on lake. Large deck on the back of house with lake views. Large dock with easy water access. Quiet location at end of the road so no road noise. Sean is friendly and will greet you at arrival, gives interesting history about the house and is responsive.

We had a weekend on the lake at Scott’s! The place was cozy during the snowy weekend. Beautiful lakefront spot with incredible outdoor area that you can enjoy year round. The hot tub was great to relax in and look over the lake. Would absolutely come back here again!

Ya que aparte de ser muy amplia , es muy bonita; Krista siempre se mostró muy atenta y hospitalaria con nosotros, también fue muy accesible con los horarios y la comunicación bastante efectiva (tanto al responder los mensajes como de manera presencial); siempre tuvo mucha iniciativa para apoyarnos en cualquier inconveniente que tuviéramos incluso fuera de lo que ofrecía el alojamiento... Los paisajes y las vistas eran maravillosas desde cualquier ventana de la casa. Recomiendo ampliamente la estancia en ese lugar, ya que te encontrarás con excelentes anfitriones y una granja/casa hermosa ❤️

Gavin’s place is clean, beautiful and well kept. It has plenty of room for everyone. The view of the lake is beautiful.

Frank’s place was a peaceful retreat. The kitchen was spacious, and the patio garden added a nice touch. We were pleasantly surprised by the Murphy bed—it was both comfortable and cleverly tucked away in the center of the unit. The sofa was also a good size, perfect for lounging. The resort amenities were fantastic, including a tennis court, basketball court, and an indoor pool (though it was closed for the season when we were there). The unit offers free use of kayaks, and these were top-notch—Pelican brand, fast, lightweight, and sturdy! There’s also a pickleball set available, which we enjoyed in the afternoon. Parking is conveniently located right beside the unit, making it easy to load up, and it’s shaded too! The view was stunning, especially in the morning when the sunlight hits the peaceful lake. Overall, it was a perfect quiet getaway between Victoria and Nanaimo. The host was incredibly responsive, offering flexible check-in and check-out times. Highly recommend!

We stayed with our pup in Grace’s garden suite for a month during Christmas. The garden is beautiful and big and our dog loved running around in it everyday. Her place is tucked right into a quaint area with local cafe, bakery, and other amenities that you can walk to. The lake is a 3min walk away! Grace was an amazing host and we felt right at home with everything you need for a long stay. Thank you!! Happy New Year ✨

They asked and knew we were staying for a sports weekend so left us Gatorade bananas and bubbly water for us. Quite clean and private. Perfect for our needs

The house was perfect for our family of 4. We loved the location, and the area was quiet and relaxing. This is a great get away to nature.

Enjoy the peace and tranquility this place has to offer. It was so relaxing to stare out at the wonderful bay and see otters play outside on the docks. I will always remember this place and will 100% come back to it. The host is wonderful and responsive and checked in on me various times to make sure we were enjoying our visit. I wish more hosts were like this! Cannot recommend this place any higher!

An amazing, well equipped cabin overlooking a pristine lake. The cabin is central to the island making it ideal to stay at while exploring Salt Spring! We were able to cook a full meal thanks to the thoughtful stocked kitchen and amenities! Ashley was a delight to communicate and even before we left we agreed we'd return someday.

Wonderful hosts, very friendly. Absolutely amazing weekend, would 100% book this place again. The lake was beautiful, and the local food and people were wonderful and friendly.

My sister and I had a lovely time staying at Bill and Ashley’s cottages. The cabin was the perfect little size, and equipped with everything we needed to cook lovely meals and enjoy a fun relaxing weekend. Big thanks to Bill for lending us a guitar capo when we realized we had forgotten ours! Say hi to Zoey and Louie for us, can’t wait to visit again :)

Our family of 6 decided to take a last minute trip and booked Sherry’s place. The place was perfect. Our kids could explore the forest as if we were camping without the hassle of camping. We were close to beaches and town, but got to have the feeling of being in the middle of no where. The house was perfectly clean and clutter free, very relaxing and peaceful. Our kids all cried when we left, the sign of a comfortable home! Many little touches, down to the small detail of a jar with dog treats. It had everything you need, we will be booking this place again in the future.

The cottage is amazing, direct access to the beautiful lake. There are boats, kayaks or stand-up paddle boards for free including life jackets. The kitchen is very well equipped and the hosts are super friendly and supportive. We had an amazing time here and we can totally recommend this cottage to everyone.

Thank you Lesha for a wonderful stay. The private cottage had everything we needed and more. We loved that we could take in the beautiful lake view from the dock, the deck, and from inside the cabin. It was a treat to have a kayak to enjoy the lake by water. Shawnigan lake and the Cowichan valley is a beautiful place with so much to explore (great restaurants, produce/products from local farms, walking/hiking/mountain biking and quaint shops. We hope to stay again.
