Stunning native bush with a small river running through it, only 10 minutes from the city centre. Options for easy short walks or 3 hrs and longer. Currently only open Sat-Mon 10am-4pm and they like a $5 donation per person. There is a predator proof fence around it so they also ask for you to check your bag before entering that no mice or rats or possums have snuck in there. A must visit for anyone who likes nature.

A bit of a windy road (lots of corners, as opposed to being wind swept). But its beautiful and there is a steep walk that goes from there that comes out near the boulder bank.

I haven't made it all the way there yet, but the part that I have done is beautiful (it gets better as you go). We biked and that got to the nice part faster.

Saturday market 8am-1pm with lots of local produce, delicacies, craft and lunch options. I recommend buying lunch there and then going to the Cathedral gardens to sit and eat. Often hard to find a park, so easiest is to walk from Willow Tree B&B- it is an easy 10 minute walk.

Most intercity buses stop here as their final destination. It is a 10 minute walk along Rutherford St to our place (turn right onto Rutherford St from Bridge St).

Beautiful setting, slightly elevated, but really close to shops etc. Around Christmas time they have a community Christmas Tree display where local groups all decorate a tree.
