This is a wonderful fish tavern enjoyed by the yacht crew members from the Finikas Marina. Enjoy fresh fish caught by the local fishermen, wonderful Greek appetizers and fresh salads. All this in a quiet environment in front of the sea. Evenings are beautiful here.

Ano Syros, the old city on a hill overlooking the port of Ermoupolis, was founded in 1200 by the Venetians and continued to be inhabited throughout the course of history while maintaining its Catholic and medieval character. A city characterized by countless steps that pass by the white houses and arches at the edge of the hill leading to the top of the village where the Catholic Cathedral of Saint George is situated.
Today it constitutes the island’s historic base offering a plethora of tourist facilities, restaurants, cultural landmarks and attractions including the old Castle gate leading to the old town, the house of the great traditional singer Markos Vamvakaris and the Town Hall.

Built in 1876 under the supervision of Ernst Ziller with a cost estimate of about 300, 000 drachmas. A very large amount for the time! This is a very unique building with a three-storey facade on one side and two-storeys on the other, which bears striking details, inspired by 3 different architectural styles. The Town Hall now houses the courts, the land registry, the archaeological museum and other public bodies and municipal services.

The Town Hall now houses the courts, the land registry, the archaeological museum and other public bodies and municipal services.

The Museum hosts a collection of tools, equipment and machinery from the Golden industrial era from loukoumi workshops, to textile, tanning, printing, machinist’s craftsmanship and glass workshops as well as a digital audio and visual archives with testimonies from former workers, maps and plans, a three-dimensional representation of industrial buildings and and artifacts from the wreck of the Patrice steamship. Among the exhibits one can also see the first legendary electric car Enfield 8000 constructed in Greece.
