A staple for me, personally, I love the Brew! My favorite drink is a Lavender Miel (it is an espresso drink sweetened with honey and a lavender simple syrup), but I haven't had a drink that I didn't love from the Brew. They also serve several local beers for the adults who want to relax after a long day!

George's Pizza is an absolute must for any pizza lovers who pass through Pella! My personal favorite is the Chicken Pesto Pizza, but they also have delicious salads, pastas, and meat dishes!

A fancier dinner option in Pella is Kaldera! The Greek-based food is delicious, the atmosphere is dim but sophisticated, and the restaurant includes a bar on one side if you prefer an adult beverage with your dinner!

When I go to Monarchs, I literally always get the buffalo chicken pasta. Really, if you asked me what I thought of the restaurant as a whole, I would not know! What I do know is that if you love buffalo chicken and you love pasta, this dish alone is worth checking it out!

Our local Mexican food joint, El Charro generally gets good reviews from my family and friends who visit! They have a large menu to choose from, and I have never been disappointed with their service OR their food. It is worth trying, for sure!

Drinks & Nightlife
Although this is a typical small town bar, the fact that it is nestled in a college town provides the Lamp Post with a bit more of a fun edge to it! Hit it up if you want slightly cheaper drinks (than the other options in Pella) and the option to play games like pool, foosball, and pong.

I say "bar," but that doesn't do the Peanut Pub it's due justice. This is a craft-only beers and coctails bar. The drinks are a little more pricey in comparison to other local options, but you are truly getting what you paid for!
A point to note: the Peanut Pub has *literally* award winning bloody mary's. I mean that. They have physically won awards. I can attest from my own taste buds that they really are delicious! Check them out!

Parks & Nature
I you love the outdoors like I do, then you will appreciate the Volksweg Trail! Although a section of it is interrupted by current construction on the Dam (making it hydroelectric; quite a big project!), the majority of the trail is accessible, and very nice! Smooth paths are perfect for all bike types, and the scenery is incredible.

So named for the iconic "Big Rock" (in a clearing that you must walk/hike to) Big Rock Park is a fun but small hike located just on the outskirts of Pella!
If it has been rainy, wear appropriate footwear as some of the paths may be muddy.

Sightseeing
After climbing a hearty number of stairs, you reach the top of the Cordova Tower! This beautiful view allows you to see for miles over and around Lake Red Rock. Beautiful views!
One thing to be noted: the gate to enter the tower takes one quarter to get through the turnstile. Enjoy!!

The Pella Windmill is a fully functional grain mill / museum dedicated to the Dutch tradition! The view from the top deck is amazing and allows you an eagle-view of all of downtown Pella. The hall of miniatures depicting traditional Dutch home styles throught the years is one of my favorite parts of the Windmill. If you catch your tour on the right time of year, the outdoor museum will also be open for browsing which allows you a peak into the history of Pella and all things Dutch!

One of the most well-known churches in Pella, Third Reformed Church has several services to choose from. If you prefer a small-church feel, check out their auditorium services at 9:30 and 11:00, or if you prefer the feel of a large church, worship in the sanctuary is at 8:00, 9:30, or 11:00.
