Good coffee, modern and clean food. Personal faves: salmon stack, huevos rancheros with extra chorizo, lemon-pistachio cake, orange-tumeric juice.

Omelegg: a play on omelette and egg (obvs)... Not surprisingly, the dishes on the menu are egg-heavy: omelettes, shakshuka, eggs Benedict, scrambled or fried eggs… it’s more or less Hangover Heaven. Go early, otherwise will wait for a table.

Dignita Hoftuin

This is a lovely place to be with its floor-to-ceiling glass windows and green setting in a small park only a stone’s throw away from Waterlooplein. Their plates are pretty, healthy and interesting. I am a fan of their ‘Forrest Dweller’ plate and their freshly baked croissants.
