It's a nice point form which you can see Tucson and it's surrounding. The drive up the mountain is fantastic and stop at the many vista points to absorb the beautiful nature

I like bisbee because it's a nice little town and has a great copper mine you can visit but make a reservation in advance ( www.queenminetour.com). You also have great antique stores and the town itself has a great vibe to it

if you visit the Grand Canyon you shouldn't miss the opportunity to check out the horse shoe bend. If you step away from the place closest to the pathway you have less people and still fenomenal views.

Parks & Nature
I love hiking and being outdoors and in this section I list some of the ideas to visit while you are in the southwest. I enjoyed the national parks but they may be quite a drive but certainly worth it.
Many hiking trails which are nice to do and not that difficult but definitely worth it.

If you like hiking and don't mind getting potentially wet shoes that his is a must do while you visit Tucson. It's a couple of hours of hiking but absolute worth the time and sweat. Make sure you ahve enough water and do it with the right temperature since it is a nice distance

If you like a good hike and don't mind to climb some very steep rocks this is a must do while the temperature is not too hot. It's a good exercise but so worth is especially when you reach the top and can look all around you toward Phoenix and Tucson downtown. One of my favorite hikes to do and a good upper leg workout for sure. Enjoy if you decide to take this challenge

Picacho Peak
If you like a good hike and don't mind to climb some very steep rocks this is a must do while the temperature is not too hot. It's a good exercise but so worth is especially when you reach the top and can look all around you toward Phoenix and Tucson downtown. One of my favorite hikes to do and a good upper leg workout for sure. Enjoy if you decide to take this challenge

From Oro-Valley it's a bit far but one of my favorite parks to see is "lower antelope canyon". It's beyond stunning and everything I write here doesn't do it justice. Make the drive and stay in Page and enjoy the beautiful scenery but make sure you have a booking made in advance (www.lowerantelope.com).
What I really like about Bryce is that you can grasp how big it is versus the Grand Canyon. I enjoy walking some of the trails and descending down from the rim down into the canyon....absolutely stunning!

If you want to explore what local Tucson/ Oro-Valley has to offer you can't miss this farmers market on Saturday. It offers a good variety of products and people are really friendly

I absolutely love this place in the Oro-Valley market place. They have a good variety of dishes from salads to pizza's and they are all very reasonably priced and staff is very friendly

Neighborhoods
The Rancho Vistoso area is a great area and there are many walking trails nearby. The neighborhood I live in has a good mix all generations which makes it a very nice neighborhood to live in. I am close to the former Rancho Vistoso golfcourse which is now used as a trail and it's absolutely stunning. During the nights it's relative very dark due to the observatory on Mt Lemon, which makes it very appealing to sit outside and watching the stars while having a refreshment!
