Worth climbing up the flight of stairs just to enjoy the lovely view of the sea from here. One can visualize how the Malaccans, Portugese (and later the Dutch) kept a watchful eye for fleets of ships coming to invade Malacca! Whilst up there, enjoy the breeze too, especially on a hot day ! Unfortunately, it is not wheel chair friendly.

If you feel like having some exercise, take a walk up the St John's Hill like many Malaccans do. The view from this small fort is not bad too. This is only around 5-10 minutes walk from the house.

Shopping

Tan Kim Hock became famous due to his dodol (a sticky sweet nougat like desert). Dodol is either made from durian or coconut. This shop stocks many other local products apart from dodol though. Many visitors to Malacca like to stop here to buy local products to bring home as gifts.
