Parks & Nature
Nowhere else in the world do you dig holes at the beach to find hot water! It is a unique experience with lots of different nationalities... it is like United Nations and everyone is working for the good for everyone else. This is a LOW TIDE activity, hot water access is two hours either side of low tide, tide time changes daily please check before you go! I think the best time is midnight, the stars are out and there are less people and it is fun to be at the beach in the dark! Sunrise, if the time is right ,is magical aswell!

Hot Water Beach
Nowhere else in the world do you dig holes at the beach to find hot water! It is a unique experience with lots of different nationalities... it is like United Nations and everyone is working for the good for everyone else. This is a LOW TIDE activity, hot water access is two hours either side of low tide, tide time changes daily please check before you go! I think the best time is midnight, the stars are out and there are less people and it is fun to be at the beach in the dark! Sunrise, if the time is right ,is magical aswell!
Secluded beach that is in the top 10 of New Zealand Beaches... a low tide activity as there is a stream to cross and some rock hopping to access the walking trail.... it is a truly beautiful location.
