Arts & Culture

Langkawi Craft Complex is a tourist complex that has exhibits on traditional Malaysian handicrafts, plus it conducts demonstrations on crafts-making methods such as weaving, batik painting, wood carving and plaiting. 21km from Kuah, it is located just past Pantai Pasir Hitam (Black Sand Beach). There are several ‘museums’ on site at the Langkawi Craft Complex including the Royal Museum, Islamic Museum and Heritage Museum. However, it is the Museum of History and Legends that attracts most visitors: there is a special section here dedicated to the legend of Mahsuri with beautiful displays highlighting her story.
