Great for a walk or go jogging. You can walk there or take your scooter to the entrance. The ridge walk must be done on foot. Best time to go is at sunrise or sunset to really enjoy the view and not get burned by the sun.

This is one of the top 3 |nstagram location in Bali. Everyone seems to want to visit this place. The temple is pretty interesting and quite amazing to video when the fog surrounds the place. Come really early at sunrise or expect several hours long to get your turn to take a photo. It's really not as amazing as most people thought though (since the reflection in the photos are fake and photographers use mirror in front of the cameras to have that reflection since there's no actual water that reflect the images taken). You might be better off to visit Bali Handara Gate instead where there's less line up.

If you like to have that Balinese Gate ("Gate of Heaven") photo then come here instead. It will save you many hours of lineup and disappointment at the Gates of Heaven.

One of my top 3 favorite waterfalls in Bali. It's more central and very photogenic. It's well managed and kept relatively clean. They have several shops halfway down that offers food and drinks at local prices (relatively speaking). Bring someone who can take good video and photos. Come early or expect a nice line to have your photos taken.

This is my favorite waterfall. There's actually several waterfalls here and you can actually jump in or dive into it. Best to bring a guide along (you can hire at the entrance). Very few tourists travel this far North for a photo. It's well worth it though if you're a mountain hiker and love waterfalls like me. At the fork, turn right and go take the photos of the main waterfall first before going back to enjoy the jump into the falls. They're in the other direction from the fork.

This is one of the top 3 |nstagrammable places in Bali. You'll need to take a fast boat ferry from Sanur beach area to Nusa Penida. Most people usually book a tour package that takes care of transportation both ways. Advice: take motion sickness pills or crush ginger tea to help with the long and most often choppy waves during the boat ride. Our villa manager can help arrange everything for you.

The Kelusa Rice Field ia located right behind Taluh Bebek Villas. Many villagers live here that tend to the rice fields which are everywhere around Ubud area. You'll find that most villagers are very friendly to everyone. Although very few will be able to speak English. Brush up on your Bahasa 😁

This fabulous cafe on the rice field nearby is great place to grab a drink and something to eat from morning to evening. It is new so very few people come here. There's live music on Friday/Saturday evenings for you to enjoy. The sun sets right behind the cafe where the Kelusa rice terrace is located. You'll enjoy watching amazing sunset here.

Pirate ship in the middle of the rice field? Yes and a nice pool to enjoy while having a bite or drink. Great view below with swings and prop set for photos.

Very unique cafe that is built between trees. Sort of like a cafe built like a treehouse. Nice shaded area when things get hot. Interesting ambience at night.

Formas de ahorrar

Money Exchange

It's best to use bank ATM to withdraw funds in local currency to use. If you need to exchange currency, always exchange your money at local banks or wellknown currency exchanges (BMC and Central Kuta Money Exchange). Do not use any street vendors to exchange your money. There are many unscrupulous merchants that use sleight of hand to rob you of some of your money. Only use them as a last resort and double count your money before you leave.
