We love the Kamloops trail networks! We hope you will too. We've outlined our favourites, as well as a great local hike at Battle Bluffs.
If you're looking for a little outdoors during your stay, then definitely check out Kenna Cartwright Park. This park has a large network of multi-use trails and the best views of Kamloops. All trails are well marked with difficulty ratings. Great for winter walks with appropriate footwear.

The closest nature trails to our location - just at the bottom of Highland Drive! Great for a walk through the grass & sage, options to keep it mostly flat or head uphill for the more adventurous. All trials are well marked with difficulty ratings. Great for winter walks with appropriate footwear.

Another great walking/hiking area in Kamloops! This one is a bit steep, but the trails are nice, and there's even a waterfall during spring & fall. Do not recommend in winter due to steep trails and potential for ice.

Yet another great walking trail network! These trails are mostly steep if you access from the Dallas parking lot (bottom) but a bit more gradual if you access from the Barnhartvale parking lot (top). Good for winter walks with appropriate footwear, but better to enter at the top via Barnhartvale parking lot.

A nice, flat, riverside stroll on the North Shore! Park at the south end of Schubert Drive (between Larch & Fairview). Head north along the river as far as you like! The trail is about 4km to Westmount Elementary, and you can always continue along Westsyde Drive.

Battle Bluffs is a great hike near Kamloops! Very popular, so expect to see other hikers, but provides great views of Kamloops Lake. The road to the trailhead is gravel and at times muddy, so be aware of the time of year (spring thaw will be messy). Trail is 4.5km roundtrip with 250m of elevation gain.

Take a hike to Gibraltar Rock lookout over Paul Lake! There are two trailheads: The longer/harder one leaves from the west end of the lake on Paul Lake Road (park where the creek goes under the road) and the trial follows the shoreline until climbing up to the lookout. The shorter/easier route leaves from the Paul Lake Provincial Park parking lots and goes through the forest and then up to the lookout. Great view of the lake and you can see Harper Mountain ski hill as well!
