The original Atria’s in Mt. Lebanon was owned by Italian immigrant Joe Atria and dates to 1930. It began as a grocery store, then expanded into a barbershop and dry cleaners. In 1933 prohibition ended and Atria’s began to sell beer. Along came food to feed the hungry — both highbrow attorneys and blue-collar working men alike. In 1998, Pittsburgh natives Pat and Nancy McDonnell transformed Joe Atria’s historical Mt. Lebanon landmark into an upscale casual restaurant that today serves up American classics in neighborhoods all around the Greater Pittsburgh Area

Jennifer Carrozza and Brittany Schaffer, owners of Nox's Tavern and Grille in Blawnox, which they opened in April 2014, believe they are up to the task. “We love seeing new faces and, like Cheers, we also appreciate our regulars. We're a family bar where everybody knows your name,” Schaffer says.
