This is a peaceful, quiet neighborhood with friendly neighbors and a few dogs. There are several artists dotted throughout Del Dios - Wood sculptor, glass sculptor, pottery, musicians, and other artist. Home to Lake Hodges Photo Tours, Blue Fox Farms, Cherrie LaPorte Glass Studio, and many others.

Sightseeing
It's a big lake, go explore :) The San Dieguito River Park Trail system surrounds the Lake with trailheads at The Piedra Pintadas Trailhead on the east end of the Lake, the Lake's main entrance on Lake Drive on the west end, and the Santa Fe Valley Trailhead below the dam between the Lake and Rancho Santa Fe.
On the west side of Del Dios Highway, directly across from Elm Lane is the entrance to the Del Dios Highlands Preserve. The trail leads you up to the top of Mount Israel which lends itself to spectacular 360° views. The photograph was taken from the top.
