Málaga has a lot to offer: more than 3,000 years of history. The city is a cultural and leisure destination, thanks to a unique array of historical monuments left behind in this land by Phoenicians, Romans and Arabs. Take a stroll through the city wander down Calle Larios and find the little squares which are hidden gems. If you are visiting from November through to January marvel at the Christmas lights. You might even catch a glimpse of Antonio Banderas who lives in the city.

One of the town's most important monuments. The south tower and the main façade are unfinished. It is situated in the historic centre of the town. The building sits where a mosque-Moorish quarter once existed. Work began in the first half of the 16th century, in the Gothic style, ordered by the Catholic Monarchs, and continued in the 17th and 18th centuries. It has its own gardens and a magnificent courtyard.

Be sure to visit the home of Picasso. The successive rooms of the Museum offer a thematic tour that highlights Pablo Picasso's family, social and cultural links with Malaga, the city where he was born on October 25, 1881. He spent the first ten years of his life until October 1891 when the family moved to La Coruña and later to Barcelona. He returned to Malaga in the summers of 1895, 1896, 1897 and 1899. His last stay, accompanied only by his friend Casagemas, was between the end of December 1900 and January 28, 1901. School - Colegio de San Rafael. What is now number 18 on Calle Comedias, used to be the school where Pablo Picasso studied.
