Nestled in the trees just off the main road you will find The Gorge. Grab your hiking shoes or snow shoes depending on the season and enjoy the loop through the trees. The Gorge also has many mountain bike trails in a variety of skill levels.

Memorial Park is a large area that includes a variety of outdoor activities. There are many baseball diamonds, soccer fields, tennis’s courts, skateboard park and a basketball court. On one end of the park (by the tennis’s courts) there is a small playground. The other end of the park (close to the skateboard park and KCA school) there is a much larger playground for children. During the months of July and August the outdoor pool and splash pad are open.

Approximately 20 minutes away you will find a great destination for U-Pick produce. Dempsey Corner Orchard’s also has a market store where you can purchase good, a food counter with icecream, and a small petting zoo with goats, chickens, sheep, alpaca and other animals.
This a great place to bring you children and very affordable for produce.

One of our favourite places to eat and drink in Kentville is Maritime Express Cidery. Their fried chicken sandwich is a must! Their tap room has a many regular and seasonal ciders on tap and a great selection of cans and bottles to take home.

Taking the short drive to Canning is definitely worth it when you want a great meat selection. Visit the Meat Market to get delicious burgers and sausages (hot jambalaya is our favourite) and more! Don’t forget to get a scoop of ice cream before you leave.
