10/15 minutes walk away. A proper country foodie pub. Live music most Sundays . Relaxed but vibrant. I would recommend booking a table in advance. This is not a local pub , just for locals, it’s very welcoming and it’s clientele travel from miles around. A 10 minute stroll from Hill House Huts.

A 10 minutes drive away. Beautiful building, tastefully renovated. Lovely on a warm day to sit outside, a massive treehouse/boat for the kids to play on whilst you enjoy a drink or two. Lovely Food is very nice… not much choice if you don’t eat meat however. (Which is us) … but I’m told the meat is really good , local etc There is always something delicious for all diets. Great selection of beers, wines and spirits. More upmarket than most establishments locally, dress up or wear your jeans. Lovely dining rooms. Beautiful outdoor seating, weather permitting.

Great places to spend a few hours at.

All of these places are our recommendations. We have been to them and consider them as worthy of spending a few hours at. They are all within a 15 minute drive.
Completely free, a great walk with history and lots to see, be sure to take your camera. There is also a play/picnic area and a great cafe. Last time we went you had to have £1.50 cash for car park.

Great zoo, that is passionate about conservation. Kids get a stamp collection leaflet at the entrance, it will ensure you see everything by way of having to go to various places to get the stamps. At the end if your page is full, you get a medal. Food can be a bit hit and miss, I’d recommend taking a pack up. There is a great shop opposite the zoo, where you should be able to get most of what you you need if you forget anything. There is also a great pub and chippy.

Well, I don’t know what to say really…. This is my friends shop they are amazing, the shop is amazing! it’s an Aladdin s cave, a cacophony of craziness that everyone’s home should own a little piece of. If only we could just pop in to say Hi. It is a given that if we go in we know we will buy that thing we never knew we wanted. Uniquely different!
