One of the biggest and best nature playgrounds and fun for kids and adults alike when you’re out and about wine tasting. Great seats that are swings at the long outdoor banquet table, and plenty of picnic area if you can’t find a seat. Great food and Rose is our fave wine.

Our fave lunch hangout for delish pies and scones with their own homemade sauces you can purchase in the shop and gift store! With equally delish sparkling wines, ciders and fortified wines. We stock their infamous strawberry jam (and apricot) in the cabin but it doesn’t last for long! And huge nature playground and activities like yard chess and visiting farm animals for kids and adults too. If you’re lucky you’ll see the blue fairy wrens and other birds at lunch.

Established in 1978, Voyager all their wines are 100% estate grown, made and bottled, and reflect the unique qualities of Stevens Valley. One of Australia’s most innovative producers of world-class Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon and by 2023 they’ll be Certified Organic. Spend an extra hour to stroll through their beautiful gardens. The cellar door and buildings were inspired by the original Cape Dutch farmsteads of South Africa. Having just returned from South Africa ourselves in 2022, we can say they are definitely that gorgeous Cape style and we look forward to visiting and reminiscing our trip!

Entertainment & Activities

Mammoth Cave is the most easily accessible of all the show caves in the region, with the first chamber accessible by wheelchair. A self-guided cave, you explore on your own while listening to an 'audio tour' through the MP3 player and headset provided. You are free to wander at your own pace along the boardwalks and platforms, through the majestic chambers of the cave. Mammoth Cave is also one of just a few caves in the south west which contains fossils. This magical cave is a natural time capsule, home to ancient fossil remains of long-extinct giant animals known as Australian Megafauna. The site of one of Australia's most important paleontological digs in the early 1900's, the cave still contains the fossil jawbone of one of these giant marsupial species embedded within the limestone wall - 50,000 years after the animal roamed the forests above. Single Cave Entry - Jewel, Lake, Ngilgi or Mammoth; Adult: $22.50; Child (4-16yrs): $12.00; Family (2 adults + 2 Children): $58.00; Additional Children: $6.00; Seniors: $20.00. Tickets can also be purchased at the cave site or at the Margaret River Visitor Centre, or over the phone on +61 8 9757 7411

We visited this lovely bird rescue park in May and really enjoyed it with the owl and flying show and bush walk viewing all the rescued raptors. New gift shop has some great nature-inspired wares and owl and raptor souvenirs. We’re lucky to have boobook owls on our property and hear them calling often, a family even perched on the tree above the pond to catch insects under our tree lights. So lucky to have beautiful raptors in our region.

As the tallest lighthouse on mainland Australia, Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse is a must-see attraction. This historic lighthouse is situated at the most south-westerly point of Australia, at the tip of a spectacular peninsula - where the Southern and Indian Oceans meet. If you visit during whale season you are sure to see some from here! NOTE: The Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) is undertaking significant restoration works at Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse as part of its nationwide maintenance and conservation program for lighthouses across Australia. The restoration work is scheduled from September 2021 through to September 2022. During this period the Lighthouse tower will be closed and guided tours will be suspended. The precinct, however, will remain open to visitors, who will continue to have access to the Lighthouse grounds and award-winning interpretive centre housed in one of the original lighthouse keepers’ cottages. The Cape Leeuwin Café also remains open during this period of work.

Locals regard this Asian Fusion restaurant as the best one in town (and that's coming from another food venue!) and we agree! Great food, great venue and the degustation menu matches sake with the courses - perfect way to see which ones you like the best. It's not a huge venue and main seats are at the bar where you watch the chefs do thier magic!

We LOVE The Farmers Market and you frequently get to taste the produce we leave in the cabin for you. The Margaret River Farmers’ Market has been a feature of the region for over 13 years. The market has grown to be a Saturday morning fixture with up to 50 stalls. Only producers from the local Shires and surrounding south west are eligible to set up a stall, and the stalls are operated by the people who grow or make the produce. This makes the Margaret River Market one of only a few genuine Farmers’ Markets in the state. The Farmers’ Market is a business incubator, with local producers testing new products and developing new enterprises from the opportunity created by its thriving, vibrant atmosphere. Each market features a breakfast bar run by a local charity, school or sporting organisation to raise funds for their cause. In an environment where food supply in Australia is increasingly controlled by large supermarket chains, the market is an important alternative outlet for produce and an integral part of successful farmers’ businesses. Customers can connect with the producers of the food they eat, and feel confident that the produce has a low carbon footprint, supports local livelihoods, and helps to preserve the environmental integrity of the Margaret River Region.
