The North End is a must do in Boston, and Modern is a must do in the North End. It’s far better than Mikes Pastries and all the north end restaurants get their desserts from Modern. The strawberry shortcake is the best in the world and they’re know for their lobster tail (like a big crispy croissant filled with cream). It’s cash only and don’t be put off by the line because it goes fast.

Near Logan airport, the baked seafood combo is the best dish in all of Boston. Locals who’ve been there will agree. Anthony Bourdain, who had lived in Massachusetts, said this is the best seafood restaurant on the entire East Coast. It’s paper plate casual and there’s a possible wait during dinner time. Don’t go unless you’re getting the baked seafood combo with lobster. I also recommend their fried scallops.

This is my favorite outdoor seating spot in Boston. It’s on the harbor with a great view and the food and drinks are excellent.

This is still somewhat of a hidden gem because it’s in a new hotel. It’s between Faneuil Hall and the North End (the center of everything). It has a great view and a rose at each table. I recommend for a drink before going to dinner in the North End, and they have a great brunch too.

This is the best part of Boston. One evening should be devoted to dinner in the North End, then coffee/desserts at Caffe Vittoria or desserts to go at Modern Pastry. If you have dinner elsewhere, it’s still worth stopping at either option above and walking down to the Paul Revere statue.

Mount Auburn cemetery is a somewhat unknown Gem that’s absolutely gorgeous with greenery, flowers, and monuments. The view from Washington Tower is incredible and it’s a quick stop on your way into Boston or Cambridge.

If you don’t have time for a Red Sox game or Fenway tour, but you still want to see the oldest ballpark in American, this unique bar is connected to the outfield wall and has a big view onto the field. It’s an easy to stop for a drink and quick photos inside the park.

Beautiful scenery in the middle of Boston. This is near the Cheers bar, Charles Street (Beacon Hill), and Back Bay. The Boston Common gets name recognition but the Public Garden is more picturesque and just across the street. The view from the George Washington Statue is a great view and very meaningful, as it’s signifying Washington’s early heroism after victoriously sieging the British out of Boston.

Museum

This is a unique and intriguing museum, featuring artistic creations by engineers. It’s unknown to tourists but worth a stop if you’re interested in art using mechanics and technology. Call ahead because hours can change, and it’s smaller so it only takes an hour or two.
