South African-inspired Gourmet fare. Superb cuisine, friendly and professional service and wonderful wines in a setting that is graceful but relaxed. A five course South African inspired table menu. The executive chef, Lizelle Stolze is crowned with numerous awards and qualifications. Serendipity is situated a 5 minute drive away. They do have a shuttle service available on request.

Hiring a canoe and cruising the waterways of the area is a very popular all year round activity. From our base at the Fairy Knowe Hotel, one can easily set off on the Touw River and explore the placid waters of the Garden Route National Park.

Leentjiesklip is a portion of Wilderness Beach and is situated at the far western corner of Wilderness beach. The Wilderness Beach itself stretches from Kleinkrans to the mouth of the Kaaimans River estuary. Leentjiesklip and Leentjiesklip Beach are easily accessed from the N2. From Wilderness Village, turn into Station Road and again right into Sands Road. When you reach the beach you will find limited parking, clean ablutions facilities, sand-off foot shower and a braai (barbeque) and picnic area. The Leentjiesklip area is popular with for sunbathing, fishing, whale watching, birding and it also serves as a landing strip for hang-gliders and para-gliders.

The last stretch to the view point is gravel road, but is very well maintained. This is a popular view point and a long row of cars are parked to the side of the road over a weekend. The views on both sides are awesome. To the right is the Map of Africa view point and to the left is a paragliding take-off spot.
Flat Rock is a popular fishing spot at Wilderness on the Garden Route in the Western Cape. Besides the fishing, it's great for long beach walks or simply lazing about on the golden sands.
It's also an amazing location for watching whales and dolphins. Southern Right whales frequent these waters between July and November, while dolphins can be seen throughout the year. The car park and the rest area on the boardwalk (built down the vegetated dunes) are ideal vantage points.
The boardwalk access to the beach is fairly steep (go carefully, especially with kiddies) but it is certainly worth the effort. Alas, it's not much of a swimming beach and there are no lifeguards.

6th AvenueFlat Rock is a popular fishing spot at Wilderness on the Garden Route in the Western Cape. Besides the fishing, it's great for long beach walks or simply lazing about on the golden sands.
It's also an amazing location for watching whales and dolphins. Southern Right whales frequent these waters between July and November, while dolphins can be seen throughout the year. The car park and the rest area on the boardwalk (built down the vegetated dunes) are ideal vantage points.
