Walks Close By 1. Madills Farm – go outside turn left, then right onto Averill Ave. Continue on to Melanesia Rd and turn right at the road in the middle of the shops. Madills Farm is straight ahead. 2. Michael Savage Memorial - walk to Mission Bay right to the end past the old stone house. On the left hand side you will see some steps, which will lead to a spectacular view of the harbour. 3. Viaduct – if you are feeling energetic, walk along the waterfront for about 7 km and you will find yourself in the Viaduct, where boats are moored and many eateries are situated. This area is also in the CBD, where Commercial Bay is situated for fantastic shopping. If you don't feel like walking there, buses go past to the CBD on the waterfront every ten minutes or so. 4. Cliff Rd, St Heliers – walk along the waterfront to St Heliers (opposite direction to Mission Bay). When you come to the end of the beach, Cliff Rd veers to the left. Keep walking up the hill as far as you can go and there is a lovely lookout at the end on the point. You can also go down the steps to Lady’s Bay. 5. Dingle Dell – walk along the waterfront towards St Heliers. Turn right onto The Parade and continue until you can veer left onto Dingle Rd. Walk over the little bridge and you will find many small bush walks through the reserve. Have fun!
