The Grotto is the perfect summer attraction! Located in the Bruce Peninsula National Park, and only short hike away from the parking, this is the perfect place to swim and sunbath on a hot summer’s day!
Please note in the summer you have to book online for a slot before you arrive as entry is only allowed if you’ve pre-booked. Make sure to do this up to a week before you plan to go as slots go by very fast in the peak summer months.

Ski Sauble provides over 19km of cross country ski trails as well as 14km of snow shoe trails! Located just 30 mins away from Pike Bay, Ski Sauble provides day passes as well seasonal passes for those interested!

With over 11km of ski trails, the Nordic centre also offers a “Jack Rabbit” trail which is lit for night skiing! The centre is perfect for beginner and expert skiers. Day passes are available at very reasonable prices, and is located only 20 mins away from Pike Bay!

Located in Colpoy’s bay only 10 mins from Pike Bay, this trailhead offers access to an 11-kilometre trail network that runs through sheltered woods and open fields, offering breathtaking views of the Niagara Escarpment and Colpoy’s Bay.

If you ever get tired of laying on the beautiful Sauble Beach, there is a wonderful adventure located just around the corner. At Ascent Ariel Park located right by the beach you can go for a 35 foot Free-fall experience or opt for the 3 route rock climbing wall! If you’re into obstacle courses, “The Tall” is the centre piece of the park which has 30 different obstacle courses on three levels going from beginner to most challenging as you get higher up. Water falls located ~ 50 mins by Owen Sound (nearest city to Pike Bay). The hike is short to the waterfall viewing deck but there is also a slightly difficult hike to get to the bottom of the waterfall if you wish! It can get muddy so make sure to bring hiking shoes!
Please keep in mind there is also a charge for parking but it is free after certain hours of the day!
