Some ideas for local days out, with some wet weather ideas (probably better for younger children).
A lovely little country farm, with a variety of animals, some a little more exotic than others. Feed the goats, check out the wallabies, the kids can burn of some energy in the play area, whilst you enjoy a coffee and cake from the cafe!

The idea wet weather destination! One of the largest soft plays around, this is a great place for toddlers and older children alike (probably up to about the age of 9). There is a dressing up and role play area as well as baby sensory and toddler areas, then there is the bigger kids area. Be warned you'll want to get involved yourself!

A Free Zoo ... aka the pet shop area, feed the fish, check out the bunnies, we have spent hours here.. The farm shop has some great eats, as well as some great shops on the complex.
There is also the Treehouse at Cadbury Garden Centre - Congresbury which is brand new, and recommended by our guests, my little boy loves it too!

Indoor soft play, outdoor play area. It's great for all weathers. There are a couple of cafe's, a picnic area and a farm shop. I have take my boys here so many times to burn off some energy. About 25 minutes away, you can stop at Chew Valley Lake on the way back.

A really lovely (but little) soft play, perfect for young ones… my toddler loves it, you can see the kids at all times… it’s too small now for my five year old as they tear around too quickly. Perfect for a couple of hours, it’s close to Cadbury Garden centre for shopping and lunch afterwards…
