Neighbourhoods
Hillarys is a beach side suburb that’s fairly quiet away from the entertainment area of the boat harbour. People tend to drive here as it’s quite hilly, but there are plenty of parks dotted around the place, including one just near my place.

If you’re travelling with a dog (or a horse!), don’t miss the local dog beach. The dogs are friendly, and so are their owners.

Just a five minute drive from my place is the stepping off point for Rottnest. It’s in the Hillarys Boat Harbour complex. Plenty of free parking.

The local beach is really beautiful, gorgeous white sand, with a surf club as well. Further south there are lots of little rocky bays where you can snorkel and swim.

We all drive in Perth!
However, if you want to catch public transport, on a weekday you can get to my place in under an hour by catching a train to Warwick railway station, then bus number 442 from Stand 3 at the station. You get off at Stop 18745 and walk about 600m. You can always call me and I’ll pick you up from the bus stop. Download the Transperth App and it will show you exactly how to get here.
