Sightseeing

I recommend this place because of the beautiful park that surrounds the castle and the nice views you can get of the city. It's a 15 min walk to the top of the hill. Also the restaurant in the castle has the biggest vine cellary in Slovenia.

Prešernov square is the central square in Ljubljana. It is part of the old town's pedestrian zone and a major meeting point, where festivals, Ljubljana carnival, concerts, sports, political, and protest events take place. The squares' Monument was designed by the architect Maks Fabiani and the sculptor Ivan Zajc and it was unveiled in the autumn of 1905. It depicts the greatest Slovenian poet France Prešeren and the muse of poetry holding spring of laurel above his head. The poet's statue is symbolically faced by the statue of Julija Primic, his great love, mounted on the facade of a building located across the square, in the Wolfova street. The Prešernov square is situated in front of one of the city gates leading to the medieval Ljubljana.
