Home of the "Twin Peaks" Cherry Pie and a" damn fine cup o' coffee", Twede's Cafe (aka the 'Double R') was opened in 1941 by Roy Thompson and is still owned by the same local family today. This charming, old-school restaurant survived WWII, the boom and bust of the Pacific Northwest's timber industry, and became popular locally for its breakfasts, burgers and especially its pie. In 1989, director David Lynch, on a scouting trip for his new ABC TV series, “Twin Peaks,” walked through the front door of Twede's and discovered a legend! It became a place Special Agent Dale Cooper (played by by Kyle MacLachlan) described on the show as “where pies go when they die.” Today, it’s a pie that locals and visitors from around the world have sought out, and it’s now shipping nationwide! Hours Sun - 09:00 AM - 7:00 PM Mon - 09:00 AM - 7:00 PM Tue - 09:00 AM - 7:00 PM Wed - 09:00 AM - 7:00 PM Thu - 09:00 AM - 7:00 PM Fri - 09:00 AM - 7:00 PM Sat - 09:00 AM - 7:00 PM Tip: It is a hot spot for breakfast and can be busy. go there when the doors open. Twede's is known for their cherry pie because of the tv show but if you are looking to eat a great pie or pastry, we highly recommend the North Bend Bakery which is located right next door.

This place has been around for ages! It is definitely a slice out of Americana history. The over all feel is an American drive-in/diner, and for us, that's what makes the food even better. It really does hit the spot on hot days and before or after a rigorous hike. On warm days it can be a bit of a wait but the food is what you are there for. We will admit isn't cheap but it is worth it. Go enjoy the sun, the view and the food. Tip: To be advised do a drive by or walk by and see how busy they are and then decide to stop in. Order to go and visit a quiet bench along the Snoqualmie Valley walking trail. You can order a drink while you wait and relax you're on vacation!
