Food scene

Located at Cap Sante Marina, this is one of the few restaurants in town located right on the water. Happy hour in the bar from 3:00pm to 6:30pm. Entrees are primarily fish, which is caught locally or from Alaska, steak options as well. Excellent choices for local beer and wine. It is a popular spot, reservations are helpful, especially May-August.

Sightseeing

Deception Pass State Park spreads over 3,854 acres, a marine and camping park with 77,000 feet of saltwater shoreline and 33,900 feet of freshwater shoreline on three lakes. The park is actually located on two islands — Fidalgo to the north and Whidbey to the south. Deception Pass is Washington's most-visited state park for a reason. Mysterious coves, rugged cliffs, jaw-dropping sunsets, and a stomach-dropping high bridge make this park a go-to for locals and international travelers alike. Check out West Beach or Rosario Beach for amazing sunsets. Make sure you have your Discover Pass, I’ll leave one for you! :)

PNW Mini Pack List

Sunscreen - You may not feel the burn as our temps don't get very high, so don't forget to put on a little sunscreen (I'll also have some for you at the condo as back up!) A good jacket - Once the sun starts setting and a little breeze picks up, you may want more than a light sweater, especially if you're out on the water. Walking/Hiking shoes - If you like to hike, you're in the right place! While some areas (WA Park) have fully paved trails, our State Parks have many gorgeous trails but they can be muddy, have slippery roots etc.
