What to Do in Bath

Bath isn't just about the "must see" attractions: Roman Baths, Assembly Rooms & No1 Royal Crescent. There's the William Herschel Museum, the Museum of Bath at Work, Postal Museum (the first stamp was posted in Bath), the Jane Austin Centre and the NEW Frankenstein in Bath museum set to open soon. Did you know that Mary Shelley wrote Frankenstein whilst living in Bath? Look out for the plaque outside the Pump Rooms.

The best view is from the bridge on North Parade. For the more traditional views, you can stand by the stone railings on Grand Parade and then cross the bridge and go down the small steps to the other side of the weir. If you want to see the less photogenic back of the bridge, then cross the road from the Victoria Art gallery towards the back entrance of Waitrose past Turtle Bay.
