You can sit in the students' desks, ring the teacher's bell, look at the old wood stove, and write on the chalkboard -- while imagining what it was like to attend school 100 years ago. Every October, the site hosts Cider Sundays, a celebration of the fall harvest. You can see the 17-foot water wheel, used for grinding corn, flour, and pressing apples for cider. Horse drawn wagon rides are included with admission. There are a variety of farm animals living at Bowens Mills. Reinactments are periodically available, such as soap making, blacksmithing, saw weaving.
