Great put put golf and an even better "jungle run" animal encounter. Rent a golf cart there for $8-$10 and drive through the Jungle Run, it's fun and you can stop and take as much time as you want to feed the goats, camel, peacocks, sheep, zebra, horses, & more.

3 miles from us this place is a must see if you love the water, nature & history. When the gates are ALL open, seeing and feeling the power of that water is awesome! Quaint local small town of Metropolis, Il. 30-35 miles from us. The Superman celebrations are an annual thing and very big deal for this little river city! Worth the trip across the bridge!

We go early and take chairs to sit on outside. The kids love running & playing with all the other children before the movie starts. Family owned and packed every weekend for 50++ years! Check it out! Highly recommend! (but take your mosquito spray)

You can really "feel" it's power and the ground shake. You push the button! Hands on in almost every part of this park! Great for kids of all ages, best for ages pre-school and up. One price to get in, additional charge for 4-5 extra attractions that are optional. Well worth it. Extra clean, well staffed, one or maybe 2 place to eat inside or eat out & return.

New park, well maintained, excellent marked walking trails, dogs allowed on leash. Disk golf as well as fishing in the park under gazebo. Perfect spot for a picnic & only 2 1/2 miles from my home.

There's a line every night but you can call ahead for take out or reservations.. It's worth a try just to feed the fish, turtles and fowl who live outside in the lake. (They give you hushpuppies to feed them under their covered gazebo)

They're famous for the 2 inch pork chop but it's all good and take time to walk around the grounds, absolutely stunning!
